Girls’ Trip |
This summer I took my girls on a 7-night cruise to the Caribbean. Here is a record of our girls only trip in snap shots. I hope you enjoy them.
The 4 of Us The Driver The Birthday Girls
Ready to depart from the Port of Galveston, we were all smiles on Sunday morning.
The shuttle took us from the hotel to our home on the sea, the Carnival Conquest.
We had time for one last Starbuck’s coffee stop.
|
Upon boarding the Conquest, we found our cabin mid-ship starboard side and got ready for the approaching Muster Drill.
We decided to practice in our cabin first, but it was just too hard to remain serious when the ship was still tied to the dock. We were eventually “somewhat” successful. The first two days at sea were spent getting to know our crew.
Of course, we took time out to do some other things as well….
….like dancing, sunbathing, visiting the karaoke set,
bonding during those late night shows in the COLD lounge,
participating in on-stage game shows, visiting the spa, or just plain EATING. |
Formal Night Captain’s Gala
We all cleaned up pretty good. |
JAMAICA, No Problem, Mon! |
In Jamaica, we visited Dolphin Cove and swam with a dolphin named Nina.
Afterwards we climbed the famous Dunn River Falls in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
|
|
At Grand Cayman we snorkeled the Coral Gardens and the Barrier Reef. We saw lots of fish, starfish, conch shells, and even one shark.
At Stingray City, we were bombarded with hungry stingrays. The water there was the most beautiful that we will ever see in our lives. The color was teal and the bottom was snow-white and sandy.
|
In Cozumel, Mexico, we spent our remaining time and money $hopping in the Forum Shops. We followed it up with a stop off at Senor~Frogs… and shot these crazy pictures.
|
As we sailed off into the sunset of our final day at sea, I was, and always will be, thankful for the chance to spend these wonderful days with all my girls. We had a total blast! This week was filled with memories that can never be erased.
Love your children and invest your time in them. No matter what their ages, they still need love too.
