This week at school someone said to me, “I wish I had time to sit and . . . “. So I got to thinking that we all have exactly the same amount of time each day. How we choose to spend it is a choice. Life is about choices after all, and these very choices ultimately shape our life. When I got home that day, I immediately went to my desk drawer and pulled out a passage that was given to me twelve years ago. The words I read back then still hold true today and every day. They have absolutely changed the choices I have made in my life, and perhaps they will give you something to think about.
Whatever you want in life,
you must give up something to get it.
The grater the value, the greater the sacrifice required.
There’s a price to pay if you want to make things better,
and a price you’ll pay for just leaving things as they are.
Nothing worthwhile comes easily.
Work, continuous work, and hard work,
is the only way to accomplish results that last.
Don’t let the fear of change stop you.
Your highway to success is a toll road.
There is no success at bargain basement prices.
So what is it that YOU really want? Are you making the choices that will eventually get you there?
